The Christian Community has learnt of the sad news of the sudden death of the Secretary General of the Bible Society of Uganda, Simon Peter Mukhama.
Mukhama’s death comes just a few days to his marriage silver jubilee anniversary which was slated to Tuesday next week. He had invited guests for the celebrations on May 15, 2023 at Holy Trinity Church Nabumali. Unfortunately, God has not allowed the function to take place.
Mukhama is remembered for his overwhelming passion for the Bible Society of Uganda. He was passionate about the braille version of the Bible to also aide the Visually impaired Christians to also read the word of God & translating the Bible into more local languages.
“Simon greatly transformed Bible Society of Uganda and put up a magnificent Bible house in record time, a testament to his unwavering commitment to the mission of spreading the gospel. His impact on the Christian community will never be forgotten” The Archbishop of The Church of Uganda Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Magalu eulogized in his Twitter message.
