The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Buikwe district Dunstan Balaba has been appointed Permanent Secretary Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
Balaba replaces Keith Muhakanizi who died in April 2023.
A man of vast experience, Balaba will assume office next week on Monday.
He has served as the Chief Administrative Officer for years and in a number of districts including Tororo, Mayuge, Kabale, among others.
Balaba is the Chairperson of the Association of Local Government Administrative Officers of Uganda.
His record as far as fighting corruption has been straight forward according to his previous stations of service.
