The two Engineers, Twesigye (bridegroom) and Manurakiza (best man) were on Sunday afternoon returning from a Kuhingira (giveaway ceremony) when the accident which claimed their lives happened.

Missions co-ordinator of North Kigezi Diocese the Rev. Edison Ampaire, said the couple had been cohabiting and that God had already blessed them with twins.

“They had decided to solemnise their marriage but this has not come to pass,” Ampaire said.

The couple, Twesigye and Prize Patience were meant to officially get married at St. Luke’s Church at Ntinda in Kampala on this Saturday December 9, 2023 at 12:00pm.

Eng. Fred Kabagambe, the father of the bride said: “It was a terrible moment to hear such bad news just minutes after they were here celebrating and enjoying”.

Kabagambe said the wedding was to take place on Saturday in Kampala and that his son-in-law (deceased) was at the time of his death, working with the National Water and Sewerage Corporation in Jinja.
