Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of the House of Prayer Ministries has survived a staged assassination as unknown assailants severely shot at his motor vehicle on his was back home.
It has been reported that Pastor Bugingo’s driver identified as Richard Muhumuza died on spot as the latter survived with injuries.
Robert Mutebi, one of the staff members of Salt Media told the media that the assailant must have aimed at the co-driver whom he immensely shot at thinking Pastor Bugingo was being driven yet he was the one driving.
“Uncle Richard was shot at thirteen times. He died before reaching Mulago hospital,” Mutebi said.
The assassination plot was staged in Namungoona between 9:00pm-10:00pm as Pastor Bugingo was going back home at Namayumba.
It is alleged that the victim was rushed to Mulago Hospital for medical attention as the investigation into the staged murder of one person and attempted murder of Pastor Bugingo commences.
By press time, Police had not yet come out to comment on the unfortunate incident.
