The security agencies have today May 23, 2024 confirmed the arrest of Anthony Twinomujuni a.k.a Bobi Young, one of the National Unity Platform (NUP) principal’s bodyguards.
Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson says Bobi Young was arrested from his home located at Mutungo Zone II in Nakawa Division Kampala.
Onyango reveals that upon his arrest, the security officers conducted a search from his home and recovered a number of items that include; ranks resembling that of a UPDF 4 Star General, walkie talkie, berets resembling that of a military police and two pairs of desert military shoes.
He adds that Bobi Young has been charged with possession of government stores and inciting violence before he was handed over to JATT for further management.
Onyango has warned that similar kinds of operations searching for military attires in the hands of civilians are ongoing.
