National Unity Platform (NUP) Principal, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine has called off his mobilization trail to Pallisa district.

In a tweet shared on NUP X handle, the party has called off it’s journey and decided to go back to Kampala. They have cited police which have blocked them at Ssezibwa bridge before leaving Mukono district crossing to Kayunga.

Kyagulanyi had decided to pass on Gayaza-Kayunga road to avoid causing too much traffic challenges on the busy Kampala-Jinja high but his intention of mobilising for his party support in Pallisa district has been in vain.

“We’ve been blocked from Ssezibwa bridge on our way to Pallisa District and now we are on our way back to Kampala,” reads the NUP message.

Kyagulanyi was also on Wednesday blocked from going to Kamuli district for the same program though he managed to go through thorns to get there.

At least police declared to have arrested ten NUP members. Police declined to endorse Kyagulanyi’s mobilisation trail for having failed to adhere to the security guidelines during his first mobilization campaign. Kyagulanyi is yet to address the nation on the way forward.
