Police Warns Mityana NUP Supporters Not to Attend Kyagulanyi’s Rally Tomorrow

National Unity Platform (NUP) members if Mityana district have been warned not to attend the party Principals mobilisation campaign which had been slated for tomorrow, June 4, 2024.

Kyagulanyi addressing his supporters gathered at Ntaawo playground in Mukono Municipality.

Rachael Kawala, the Wamala Police spokesperson says that Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, the NUP’s party president’s mobilisation rallies were halted by the Police top management on June 1, 2024.

 Kawala’s message reads; “We  would like to remind  the public that the police management on 01. June 2024  halted any further consultative activities of National Unity Platform (Nup) as a party on public and road safety reasons.

However we have obtained information on plans by NUP in mityana   about holding consultative meetings  on 04.june.2024 in the district.

We would like to warn all intending participants and other members of the public not to join the unauthorized processions.
The joint task force will take very resolute enforcement action in accordance with the law against any illegal acts in order to promote rule of law.
We therefore urge the public to observe law and order”.
