 | KYAGGWE TV | KASESE | The High Court in Kasese district has sentenced a man to 20 years in prison over murder of his wife and brother.

Jackson Muhindo Kasulenge was convicted on his plea of guilty over the murder of two people in Kamughobe one village in Kisinga sub-county in Kasese district.

On Wednesday, the High Court presided over by Justice David Makumbi heard that on January 5, 2023, Kasulenge killed his wife Mary Biira Shamim by strangulation.

The court also heard that on July 30, 2023, Kasulenge killed his brother, Joles Kabutusi Kasulenge by hitting his head with a blunt object and burying the body in a banana plantation.

In November last year, the two bodies were exhumed and preliminary findings then indicated that they had been killed under unclear circumstances by Kasulenge.

He was subsequently arrested and taken to Mubuku government prison.
