Well, for the comfort and convenience of our guests, we are pushing the official opening to tomorrow (Friday) and we hope they won’t come up with another excuse!

National Unity Platform (NUP) President, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has of late responded to what he has called a cowardly manner of Police and army blocking their grand opening of new party offices at Makerere-Kavule on Thursday.

Police together with the army heavily deployed at NUP’s newly constructed offices very early in the morning blocking the NUP’s earlier set agenda of having their headquarters officially opened.

In his response via his social media handles, Kyagulanyi says:

“So the cowardly regime has all this manpower to block the official opening of our office, but they claim they don’t have the manpower to secure the function, even when we did not request for it! Then they claimed they blocked it because Gen. Museveni was in Kawempe on the same day. Well, for the comfort and convenience of our guests, we are pushing the official opening to tomorrow and we hope they won’t come up with another excuse!”

Blocking today’s even followed the Kawempe Division RCC, Yasin Ndidde who advised NUP Secretary General Rewis David Lewis Lubongoya to postpone the function because the day was so busy with other VIP functions in the place.

However, the NUP party leadership insisted following the army and police’s heavy deployment to encounter any form of defiance.
