Ivory Coast Wins 3rd AFCON in Style

Ivory Coast has convincingly won its third AFCON title after defeating Nigeria two goals to one.

Nigeria got the first goal in the match against the hosts in the first half. Ivory Coast equalised the game in the 63rd minute and Sebastian Haller scored the winning goal.

Though they had the home advantage, Ivory Coast struggled to get on the final.

Ivory Coast won its first AFCON title in 1992 against Ghana and the second in 2015 also from Ghana.

South Africa defeated Democratic Republic of Congo to come out in the third position.
