Police have released images and identities of a prime suspect behind the gruesome murder of the former Ndiga Clan leader Daniel Bbosa and put a cash reward of sh10m.

The person behind Bbosa’s assassination is identified as Luggya Bbosa Tabula, also a member of the Ndiga clan who is currently on the run. Tabula is suspected to be hiding in the islands after escaping arrest over the weekend according to the police.

He is the person that led the case files in the Buganda Traditional Court locally known as Kooti ya Kisekwa on a leadership dispute in the Ndiga Clan which was ruled in 2022 in favour of the complainants.

Kooti ya Kisekwa, nullified the leadership of Daniel Bbosa as the head of the Ndiga Clan which had lasted more than 480 years after evidence presented proved that he was not the rightful holder of the position.

Daniel Bbosa however refused to hand over the office until he was gunned down by the assailants near his residence at Lungujja in Rubaga division last week on Sunday.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson says that preliminary investigations conducted by the Crime Intelligence, Criminal Investigations Department and Kampala Metropolitan Police have discovered that Tabula, a resident of Kabango village in Mpigi district masterminded the killing by outsourcing the killer guns and mobilizing assassins.

Enanga further says that they are currently having seven suspects including the suspected killer Noah Luggya and Milly Naluwande, a clerk at Kisekwa Court.

He however discloses sh10m cash reward put on table for anyone with information about the whereabouts of Luggya Bbosa Tabula hence warning that those to be found harbouring Tabula will be held accountable.
