Five Remanded to Luzira Prison Over Murder of former Ndiga Clan Leader

Five people have today been arraigned before court and charged with murder of the former Ndiga clan leader, Eng. Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa.

The suspects include; Noah Luggya, a 21-year-old man who personally shot at Eng. Bbosa, Milly Naluwenda (46), a clerk to the Buganda Kingdom’s traditional court called Kisekwa, Harriet Nakiguli (40), a resident of Nkere Zone in Kawempe division, Joseph Nakabale (47), a painter residing at Ggala in Mpigi district and Ezra Mayanja (44), a resident of Kiganda Zone in Kawempe division.

The suspects appeared before Magistrate Adams Byarugaba of Nateete Lubaga in Mengo and they were charged with murder.

Prosecution led by Caroline Mpumwire told court that the investigations into this case are ongoing, therefore asked the case to be adjourned and suspects remanded.

Magistrate Byarugaba denied the accused to enter any plea saying that given the nature of their case being capital in nature, his court lacks the jurisdiction for it.

Byarugaba adjourned the case and remanded the suspects to Luzira prison until April 11, 2024.

Eng. Daniel Bbosa who was shot dead on February 25 at Lungujja Cell in Lubaga division was the proprietor of Transa Electricals.
